It was not the easiest place to get to…but totally worth it. First time staying in a YURT and it was beyond my expectations. An ARTIST created this place, believe me. :) Didn’t see a single soul the whole time but woke up early one morning and saw a mama moose and her twins. Only time I extended my vacation for an AirBnB. P.S. This place had the coolest outhouse too (last two pictures) – can’t believe I said that. :)))

When driving the Pacific Coast Highway, one of the very best things to do is to visit the Elephant Seals five miles north of the Hearst Castle.

And if possible, do it around sunset.

This is the only trip where I had to come home early. It was late Wednesday night (3/11/2020), and President Trump announced that I have until Friday to get back to the United States. Truly a moment that changed the world…

*can’t believe it took only three years to post this – but it’s important. The only journey ever where I didn’t finish. It’s on the bucket list to go back.
